An authentic Jersey country home
This beautiful Grade 2 listed farmstead was gifted to the National Trust for Jersey by Arthur Morel in 1939, whose family were of Huguenot descent and lived in the farmhouse from 1660 to 1875.
The property comprises a farmhouse, pressoir (cider barn), boulangerie (bakehouse) and several other outbuildings. The historic farmstead was fully restored by the National Trust for Jersey in 2023 with funding from the States of Jersey Fiscal Stimulus Fund.
Morel Farm's Farmhouse has been beautifully furnished to suit the style of the property, with a variety of period furniture and paintings - many of which came from the collection of the National Trust for Jersey, such as mahogany Jersey presses and chests of drawers.
While the property is period in style, in substance it is very future orientated. Sustainability has been championed, with the underfloor heating powered by an air source heat pump. Three chargers are available for electric vehicles, shared with the other self-catering units.
