At the end of the year our stalwart stonemason, Robin Le Lerre, will retire after working 25 years for the Trust. With his cheerful demeanour and ever flexible attitude, Robin will be sadly missed by the team. He has been involved in a number of the Trust’s key projects over the years including the restoration of Le Rât, the renovation of 16 New Street and the repair of Tesson Mill, as well as numerous granite walls throughout the Island. His attention to detail and craftsmanship has been second to none and if you are passing a wall one day and see a little coin bedded in its joint, then you will know you are looking at one of Robin’s walls!
We would like to wish Robin a very happy retirement and take this opportunity to thank him wholeheartedly for helping us over the years to care and safeguard for the wonderful granite properties in our care.
